Good product. the best tool for drawing and writing

Good product but the instructions require more pictures to explain all the features. The explanations cover several functions but are not clear enough.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Useless features

Great tool, terrible quality

After buying this Ames manual I really wish I had gone broke and bought one brand of drawing tools. This does not remain at the angle required for its actual use. waste of money.

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Speed of work

The wheel is too loose.

I bought this for an architecture drawing class. Everything worked fine at first, but over time the wheel became loose. When you try to draw guides, the wheel spins and suddenly you don't have straight lines or they gradually grow bigger, which contradicts the text guide. I bought a Staedtler because it was such a disappointment to me. The wheel is firmer and doesn't move when you draw guides.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Buy it elsewhere.

Buy elsewhere. It's a brittle plastic, poorly formed, and the wheel spins freely. I'm serious? No friction. This little fact makes it useless. I literally have to heat this piece of shit up and bend it a little to keep the wheel in place. You know what, this can be used as a spinner. A crazy seller should read these reviews and do something about it. I can't believe Revain would allow sellers like this.

Pros
  • Drawing and writing tutorials
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Old school, just what I wanted!

One of these taught me in high school how to accurately print design documents like machine drawings and architectural plans (thanks, Mr. Llewelyn). This is the exact same tool I used over 50 years ago. . And it still worked for a pal who was homeschooled and had never learned to type legibly. An hour of practice and now his bad handwriting looks like it's on a printer. Sometimes the old ways can still be used to make things better.

Pros
  • Drawing, Painting, and Art Supplies
Cons
  • Very Expensive
