This lid is tough enough to withstand microwave heat and steam. It does a great job of catching a splatter of sauces and drips of oil without smothering the dish. Didn't know the built in magnets would hold the lid on top of the microwave but it works great. Relatively easy to clean. You know that feeling when you see that a lot of 2 isn't worth much more than 1, right? I bought 2 packs and shared with a daughter. I liked mine so much I bought another set for my other two daughters! My husband is not a fan of gadgets, but even he noted the convenience of the lid that "lives" in the microwave.
