🔆 White Oversized Recessed Lighting Fixture Pack Review

Snapped on the first one trying to put it on my 6" halo downlight. On the second try I removed the bracket at the back - it still doesn't fit. Considered using a dremel to try and increase the diameter, but you can't increase it much without losing the edge. It was a waste.

Made of strong, durable plastic but doesn't lay flat. In addition to this small defect, the shipping packaging was added. I had to use 3M double sided tape to keep it flat on the drywall. Once in place, it seals old larger holes and prevents warm air from escaping through higher ceilings.

Apart from the fact that these plastic rings cost less than the sealed plastic bag they came in, it saddens you to know that the supplier overpriced them so much and didn't even provide a cigarette Afterword for doing it for you. The rings are fine and fit perfectly, it's just a shame a limited number of sellers actually offer them to you knowing that without them you'd have to buy a new light box baffle and all.

When I installed the product, I found that its outside radius is the same as the fixture I installed it on, so it doesn't cover the "bugs" I was trying to cover. The outside radius of this product is 8 inches and I need 9 or 10 inches to work with it. I had a hard time finding the latter, but I finally found it.

I'm changing the built-in lighting in the kitchen to LED. I had to replace the glass because the temperature sensor was burned out. The low profile LEDs are easy to replace, but the original holes in a drywall were slightly larger. These rings are easy to attach. The only thing I had to do was cut the material from the inside to fit the new LEDs properly. The plastic is easily cut with some wire cutters and the cut edge is hidden under the flashlight flange. We had to convert the 8" can holes to 6" on our screened in porch to use Alexa controlled lighting. We did this since the fan was on the same switch and we didn't want to run a different wire. We ordered deep inserts so small onions don't sit in a big hole. However, since we had vinyl, we had a 1" discolored ring around the rim of all three cans. We ordered the same diameter rings as the original 7.5" OD and 6" ID. They are perfect. One photo.

These rings appear to match the description. The problem for us is that they are round. While we were disassembling our 31 year old ceiling light cans to paint the ceiling, we still ordered them to replace the old rings that had become a bit brittle. They are round and perfect for a flat ceiling. However, our ceiling is sloped (curved) so the rings need to be slightly oval to fit properly. Have to return them.
