Description of Freezable Hampton Lunch Bag ๐Ÿฅช by PackIt - Blanket Stripe Design

The Hampton Lunch Bag features Packit's groundbreaking cooling design. Non-toxic freezable gel is built into the walls of the bag: the entire bag freezes! Fold, freeze, pack and go!. Simple to use: empty, collapse and freeze the entire lunchbox overnight (12 hours). By morning, the walls of the bag will be completely frozen and ready to pack. This lunchbox keeps food cooler longer, which means you can pack healthier foods that would spoil in other lunch boxes such as: prepared meals, salads, fruits, meats, and veggies. PackIt's Freezable Hampton Lunch Bag measures 8.5 inches tall, 10.5 inches wide and 7.75 inches deep. It is the lunch bag solution for the savvy meal prepper, healthy eating, commuting, at the office and more. Features a roomy interior and unique rectangular base so you can carry larger containers (large meal or salad, a snack and a 12 ounce drink). The top to side zipper design lets you quickly access food and drinks on the go; a shoulder strap ensures portability. The Hampton Lunch Tote is made from nontoxic gel and gel liner. Like all Packit products, it is made from PVC free, BPA free, phthalate, and lead free (UL #B80321985, 12/5/2019) materials. Proudly made by PackIt: creator of the ORIGINAL foldable, freezable lunch bag. Designed in California.

No more ice packs. Works well.

I love the color and durability and it keeps things cold without fuss. The downside is that some of the packaging is missing the frozen interior. Holds the temperature for about 4-5 hours depending on the room temperature. Lots of space on top, easy to clean and use. No more ice packs.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • I have a problem

Great Freezsble Lunch Box

This lunch box fits in the freezer and opens into a medium sized handbag. The walls freeze through and hold the cold well. The material is durable canvas and the strap is comfortable. The lunch box is very roomy for a plastic box and water bottles. Worth the price if you want a large lunch box that can hold soup in a container without tipping over.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Small Items

Comfortable but doesn't freeze for long

I really liked the idea of this bag. However, it doesn't stay cold for long. I usually add another ice pack to keep my lunch cold from packing to eating (usually about 5 hours). Being able to just toss the bag in the freezer is a good thing though - you might need another ice bag that also lives in the lunchbox.

Great packed lunch, except.

Packed lunch looks good and stays cold for hours. HOWEVER, after the first use it smelled horribly of fish. Ironically, it only smells awful when the bag is about to be thawed; You won't smell the fish when it's fully frozen or fully thawed. I was hoping the smell would go away after a while, but after 2 months it still stinks. I don't know if anyone had this problem but I want to return it. If this smell doesn't confuse you, then everything works.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Don't remind me

PackIt lunch boxes are AWESOME!

I love this lunch box! I had the smaller version but found I couldn't fit bento box style containers in without rotating the container sideways. Despite other reviews stating there are cooling issues, I liked this box and it works for me indoors. I pack my lunch at 7am and usually don't eat until 12-1pm. I had no problems. Fruit and stuff I keep in the box for the rest of the day and it's definitely not cold, cold but still a little chilly. I wish my husband had a more masculine print of thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Leak: Terrible Smell

Before the leak I would have given this lunch bag 2 stars. The pros are that it's nice and comfortable. Now for the cons: It doesn't work very well. I recently retired my 31 hot spring which stopped working after 4 years but used to keep food cold all day. This PackIt keeps my food cold for about 4 hours and most of the time I wouldn't even use the word "cold". The bag should really have an outside pocket for handkerchiefs and the like. My biggest problem with this bag is that the gel insideโ€ฆ
