🌍 Painless Learning World Map Placemat: Explore and Educate with Ease Review

Physically good as a napkin, I didn't realize how crooked the card was when I bought it. The northern hemisphere is elongated while the southern hemisphere is compressed so that the equator is about 2/3 down, not in the middle. Greenland is much larger than South America. Alaska is bigger than Australia. While this will help keep my child's seat at the table relatively clean, there's no way I want them to think the world is like this. Scandinavia is a lot bigger than India, which is ridiculous.

Bought a set of these (MX, Europe, USA, World) so my kids (5, 9) can learn a bit while eating. Since they never (never) stop talking anyway and seem to be constantly competing with each other when talking, I figured it would give them something educational to talk about together. So I'm a bit weird and didn't order this for the actual purpose. At work, I move from one time zone to another and have trouble learning and keeping track of them. I have a huge map like the one in the classroom. It's in a spot where I have to turn almost completely to see what's useless. I took a permanent marker and drew the time zones on the laminate and pinned it to my left so I only have to look a bit to the side and I can easily see it.
