Makes beautiful pictures with many advanced settings!

I had to throw away my last two cameras due to repeated lens failures due to dust getting into the optics, so I bought this camera to end that annoying cycle. Still, I was quite surprised at how awesome this camera is! I haven't tested its underwater or shock absorption properties, but the shots it takes are great! In addition, there are many settings that allow you to customize the settings to your liking (set ISO, shutter speed, red-blue settings, white balance, etc.). For a lover of options,

Taken on a cruise and to Mexico

I bought this camera in 2009 to go to Mexico and again in 2010 to the beaches of South Carolina. It has proven itself as a versatile camera and camcorder. . The picture is decent, not great, but if you know how to use photo editing software, pictures can look amazing with minimal settings. In terms of waterproofing, the TS1 was great again - I've used the TS1 underwater in swimming pools to take photos and videos, and in the ocean in Tulum, Cozumel and Playa del Carmen, Mexico with no issuesโ€ฆ

One of the Best Travel Cameras

I have owned 32 digital cameras since 1992 so I am picky about image quality as it is the most important factor in owning or selling a camera. I currently only have 4 out of 32 and this camera is one of them. The image quality outdoors in bright light is amazing and compares very well to my 35mm camera. The images are clean, bright, vibrant and simply beautiful. Even if you compare this camera and my 35mm lens side-by-side at the pixel level, you can see that the difference is negligible. Theโ€ฆ

Great camera in every way

I was looking for a waterproof shockproof camera to use on vacation and for myself as I'm a bit clumsy. However, I didn't want to spend money if I was going to get a camera that couldn't be used for normal everyday use with friends, family, pets, etc. I was very concerned that this was even possible as I read reviews on other cameras and there were many mentions of degraded image quality. I've read great reviews of the Canon d10 but the camera was a little bulky when I saw it in person for aโ€ฆ

More than I expected

This is my third Lumix. We have the more expensive LX-2 - the top model of its time - a great almost pocket sized camera. I also bought a cheaper FZ-28 for hiking, which is disappointingly loud. This camera is /very/ good for what it is. It's smaller than I expected, which is good. It's also lighter than I expected. This is not a tank like some Olympus cameras. [I don't care if that's a good thing or a bad thing.] It's glaring, since the lens is covered by flat glass with no sunshade, but asโ€ฆ

I love it so far. suitable for Point & Shoot digital cameras

Okay, I'm posting this now although I haven't used all of the camera's features, such as: B. the video option. So keep that in mind. Anyway, I have a Pentax DSLR and it's great. But sometimes you just don't want to take it and the lenses with you. So there was a field trip to Chicago and I gave up and bought a TS1. Due to my bad habits of kayaking, sailing, biking, and just being outdoors a lot, this camera had to be waterproof ("proof" is a strong word). It seemed to me the best combination of
