A high-quality, reliable point-and-shoot camera for every adventure.

I bought this camera because I'm very picky about my equipment. I looked at many waterproof cameras before settling on the Panasonic TS2. I couldn't be happier with it. Took it to Hawaii right away and it was a total delight. Takes very clear photos and the autofocus is very fast. I took it to the sea the first day I was there and it worked great. Records high quality HD videos! I've already dropped the thing on the concrete and everything was fine. It also comes with a premium silicone case…

  • Great for outdoor activities

Not a fan of "smart resolution "

I have both TS1 and TS2. I fell while hiking and damaged the TS1, making it no longer waterproof. Since the TS2 uses the same batteries (I had 3) I ordered the TS2 as a replacement. The TS2 has more pixels in its small sensor (to boost sales), so it's inherently louder. To try to repair the damage, it uses heavy image processing to make images look good from afar. They do. But when you PS your images or look at them at the pixel level, they're mind-bogglingly bad. And this "feature" cannot be…

Everything I expected and more.

I bought a Canon Powershot SD800 3 years ago as a handy alternative to my DSLR. It was also nice that Canon built an underwater housing for this camera and I have used it on several diving trips with no problems and with clear images. However, this camera died in the washing machine. do not ask. So I was looking for another camera with the same versatility as Canon and even more "cool". After some research I came across the Panasonic TS2. I don't normally associate "digital camera" with…

image clarity? Possibly in excellent condition. funny mostly

I bought this camera for work (also for leisure/rafting etc.). I appraise real estate and thought it would be nice to have a rainproof and fold-down camera to take pictures of the outside, inside, attic and basements of the home since Seattle weather is rarely at its best. I was wrong. The pictures are absolutely awful. My $125 Canon Powershot 1100 IS takes crystal clear shots of whatever I need, whatever the weather, and when I traded it in for this it was pretty clear that it wasn't a great…

For the money there is no better "all-round protection " camera!

The DMC-TS2 is ready for whatever you throw at it, as are several other compact digital devices for less money. What it does best is stunning 14MP photos and crystal clear, smooth HD videos. Photos taken in the surprisingly intuitive Full Auto mode were perfect, with the exception of a few where a drop of water on the lens distorted the image slightly. They were comparable in quality to my D200, which is nice considering the TS2 can work anywhere. The video quality made me wish I had bought a…
