At the time, this seemed like a great idea.

This was just one of the very few phones that still had a headphone jack so I ordered it. Received a used phone (I paid for a new one), the battery only had a 10% charge and got very hot (seemed unsafe) after an overnight charge. It may have been a "one off" but I won't do it. Even try to get a replacement that wasn't this or a similar model.

Caller ID not always showing

I've had this phone for almost two years now and I disagree with most of the reviews here. It's a decent phone and still reliable, but I have to wholeheartedly agree with Walt "planetwalt" Johnson, particularly on these two points: the voice enhancer is useless and the caller ID information isn't always displayed. Sometimes I wait for the caller ID info to show up, switch to another cordless phone I have at home and it shows up on the old phone but not this Panasonic. Also, while MUCH better…

Problems with the volume of the audio in the handset during a call.

I really wanted to like this phone because of all the good reviews but I got one with problems, returned it and got another one with the same problems; So it must be the phone model. The following does not include use of the handset hands-free feature that requires the "Wait for you” "Wait for me” behavior; just a regular pipe. - When you answer an incoming call for the first time, you usually have to wait a few seconds for the phone to make the two-way conversion available.
