Don't buy this for Canon lenses

I love this camera but I couldn't experience its full continuous autofocus with the MC-21 Sigma adapter as they don't work for continuous autofocus will you Get Lumix lenses.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Light and good for night photography

Excellent camera. The mirrorless camera is great for night videos. The quality is high. The downside is that you don't have an optical viewfinder and you don't get the same street photography quality as premium DSLR cameras. Although it's a lot lighter than DSLRs.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are nuances

This camera is a beast!

This camera is near perfect, and now with the introduction of APR Raw, what more can you ask for at this price point? really nice IBIS system you get. I was very skeptical at first, but I know I'm hooked.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some flaws

I don't recommend if you don't know how to shoot with manual focus.

Nearly perfect hybrid camera, but autofocus kills its chances. For $4,000 or $5,000 with a lens, Panasonic still retains that so-so autofocus capability. Gone is good because it taught me how to shoot manual focus video. If you can't do that or don't want to learn how to focus manually, this camera is not for you!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Power outlet required

disappointing camera; don't buy

I'm a journalist and I use the GH5 for vlogging. I assumed the S1H would be a great upgrade. As much as I love Panasonic's full frame camera and it's amazing low light performance and design, it has one BIG flaw. However, it has a BIG downside. Unlike the GH5/s, you can't switch focus simply by touching the screen. No exit. Also, compared to the GH5/s, the autofocus is very slow and NOT as predictable. I think this camera is coming back. I can't spend $4,000 on a camera that doesn't do basic…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

beast mode! Just buy S1H already.

Damn, this camera can do it all! The image quality for photos and videos easily beats my Sony A7 series. I've found that working with skin tones in post is a lot of fun and I haven't had to fiddle with skin tone adjustments since I switched to Panasonic. The vlog workflow in Davinci Resolve 16 proves excellent with minimal primaries. I mainly use the OpenFX color space conversion to set up my basic vlog on rec709. Looks great! Plan out a few grand more to gear up this camera and learn about…

The video quality is top notch!

I really like the color of the picture. I just received mine and have already used it in production. I haven't had the opportunity to play with it much. I'm looking forward to trying out magazine profiles, but Cinelike V (or D?) was great to get started. The internal stabilization works excellently and the image quality is simply great! The 6K image as well as 4K at 60p looks so good with no editing. I can't say anything about the camera. Finding the right lens was a bit difficult. I'm sure…

Pros
  • High quality workmanship
Cons
  • Nothing

This is not a camcorder!

The LUMIX S1H is a 6K beast and one of the best hybrid mirrorless cameras I've ever used. The 5.9k full frame sensor is amazing and the color reproduction on this camera is fantastic. It also contains Panasonic's full V-Log image profile, which is used in their expensive Varicam cinema cameras. It has amazing dynamic range and is great for color grading thanks to 10-bit 6K recording codecs. This camera also features a full-frame downsampling DCI-4K codec in 10-bit 4:2:2, which is almost more…

Pros
  • Easy setup

Quality control problems

quality control problems! This camera is an amazing tool, but the lack of quality control is its downfall. I received the camera in October. On 01.11.2020 and 02.11. the housing of the LCD came off unexpectedly! It literally just popped out of the case, not due to abuse or a fall or anything else, it literally just popped out of the unit and upon inspection the screw groove which is plastic broke. I would assume that a $4400 camera (after taxes) would have better components, but that's…
