I was wrong

I previously reviewed this VCR and only gave it 2 stars because I thought it was only a few months old had previously held as some The tapes began to act strangely. There is another review of this VCR that mentions the same thing. So I wrote a not so good review about it, bought another Circuit City VCR and immediately ran into the same problem. I found out it wasn't the VCR, it was Macrovision/Copywriting. Some videocassettes emit a signal to prevent them from being illegally copied onto VCRs,

Pros
  • Can record 8 events in 1 month, 181ch TV/CATV tuner
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Should have used this money to fix my old VCR

I don't like this VCR. As other reviewers have pointed out, when rewinding or fast-forwarding, it doesn't stop when you press "play" or "stop" - it continues to play several minutes of the tape. This is very annoying because you can never get to the right place. I've seen other reviewers complain about this, but I didn't think it would take so long or be annoying to get to the right spot on the tape. Is that so. Another big annoyance is that every time you use the VCR (recording, playback…

The best of the video recorders that still exist.

I bought this VCR in January 2005 and kept it as a backup for one of my other two VCRs. One of them, the Toshiba of 6, didn't quite die, but the heads just wore out from all the faithful service he's given me over the years. With that in mind, this Panasonic PV-V4624S has been taken from storage and been in use for the last week and a half and here are my impressions: Pros: - Very good picture quality: an improvement over the Toshiba 6 head replacement. I have nothing but good things to say…

Pros
  • Same width as standard audio components
Cons
  • Unreliable
