Works like a charm for Vise

Works like a charm. We use it for quality control and it has made our life a lot easier and more productive. I also think it will be very durable.

Pros
  • Vise
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Great tool for trimming small items

I use this tool to hold embedded samples when trimming them prior to electron microscopy sections. This is very useful to flexibly position specimens at any angle and still hold them firmly.

Pros
  • Vise
Cons
  • Great price

Nearly perfect. on vise

The base unit worked fine but the clamp didn't clean the outline of the micrometer I was using it on (Mitutoyo 389-351) so I had to machine it for clearance. Especially when combined with the PanaVise 308 weight base, it stays firmly in place.

Pros
  • Hand tools
Cons
  • I'll add later

Good adjustment range.

This is an excellent micrometer stand with much more adjustment range than most micrometer stands. However, you will need to bolt it down or bolt it onto a heavier base. The ball's movement isn't as smooth as I would expect or like, but it's designed to adjust where you need it and then tighten to stay in place. It does exactly that, so I can't complain.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • New Competitors Appeared
