Works great and stylish!

I really liked the scarf. It was stylish, comfortable, had an unobtrusive wallet, and for some reason I was willing to deal with the "smell," but there wasn't a bad smell. It has also held up well as whilst wearing it on safari in the Kruger Park in South Africa and then in the countryside I have never been bitten!

Pros
  • Insect Repellent EPA registered to repel mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, ticks and mosquitoes. Active ingredient: Permethrin 0.52%.
Cons
  • So far so good

One layer of material

I don't know if it's because the material in one layer is thin or because of the thin knit, but the scarf doesn't fit well around the neck. The edges curl and it looks like I have two tubes of material hanging around my neck. I wear a lot of scarves, but I don't wear this one. I bought it for insect repellent but am returning it. I gave two stars because I like the hidden pocket.

Pros
  • Machine washable
Cons
  • Waiting too long

I love the rustic everyday look as well as the insect repellent!

I like it very much. That's convenient. Maybe a little bigger/longer, but it's ok. The bag is big enough. I hate carrying bags around and I hate being bitten by deer flies coming out of the woods. This solves both problems. I love that it's made from recycled beer bottles, although I didn't know beer came in plastic bottles. Anyway, I'm glad I got it. You can also try a different color.

Pros
  • Normal household wash recommended - can be bleached, starched, ironed etc without affecting water repellency.
Cons
  • Communication with seller

A worthwhile buy for stylish scarves

I'm super allergic to mosquito bites so I do it whenever I have the opportunity to build my arena to protect it from these bugs! It doesn't hurt, I'm a scarf too! What hurts is the price. It shouldn't cost that much, but I appreciate that it was made in the USA under fair conditions and that there was a real recycling effort. I bought this for my upcoming trip to Costa Rica (aka Mosquito Rica) and am delighted with the passport holder and convenient hands-free transportation. I like the color…

Pros
  • Concealed 5" x 8" zip pocket.
Cons
  • Fits
