Does not live up to expectations

Safety razor not what I was hoping for. My husband bought it for me as I always steal it and although the Parker 29L is the same brand as him the quality doesn't seem to be the same. When fitting a real razor you need to make sure the head is tightened just right or the razor will bend and cut you. It is very difficult to position the razor so that the skin is not torn on the first pass. The head is also not as heavy as it should be. There just doesn't exist the same close or good shave, so you

Where have I been all this time?!

I have to agree with the previous 5 star ratings for this product. I am definitely a fan of this hair removal method. The world of shaving was beginning to overwhelm me. Deciding whether to buy a two-blade, three-blade, or four-blade razor (with or without a grooming strip or Super Grip) was a daunting task. So, on my friend's advice, I decided to start my shaving journey and strive for simplicity. You really can't beat a quality razor for under $30 and blades for about $0.30 each. To be…

There is a problem.

This razor is similar to the one I first used to shave my legs in the 1960's. I returned to the double-edged safety razor for several reasons: the rising cost of disposables, the poor shave with disposable razors, poor quality control of the disposable blade edge, and the problem of disposing of disposables. This Parker razor solves each of these problems. I am very satisfied with this lavender handle razor. I love the fact that I only have to buy blades so I can change them often. The weight…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other razors

The reason I bought this shaver. I am so tired of buying high priced razors that cost around $17 for a starter kit when replacement cartridges are $40. This razor is everything and more than the expensive ones and the razor itself lasts LONG. I can get 7 to 10 shaves from one razor and replacement razors are less than half the price of expensive replacement razors. Now for the cons, and I can't express it enough! This razor causes serious injuries, cuts on your legs, forearms and anywhere you…

SPICY! Be careful! - Safety Razor

So I decided to switch from the dollar shaving club to this one. When I first used it it was great so I give it 3 stars. The second time I used it I shaved my legs and cut my left leg so deep it was bleeding - ended up with a 3 inch cut and is still healing 5 days later! It hurts so bad and it's deep so there must be a scar. I've read other reviews and they all said it was a close shave so I've either forgotten how to shave my legs (which is unlikely given I've been shaving for 20 years and cut

Cheap clean blades, where have you been all my life?

I love the butterfly mechanism! At first I was worried it would be dangerous or difficult to use and I might ruin my legs, but in the end it was pretty easy and you get a very close shave. I didn't escape. This is my first problem with all razors and I love how hygienic they are and that despite shaving against the fibers I haven't gotten a single pimple. I cut my knee and shaved off some goosebumps, nothing major just trial and error to adjust to how little pressure you need to get the…

Ladies, don't let the blade scare you, it's awesome!

I've been in a monogamous relationship with Venus for 15 years and to be honest I was a bit afraid to switch to an open blade but this little tool is amazing! I've been using it for 2 months now and it's so easy to use, just move slowly. I haven't had a single nickname that I haven't used. Super close shave on legs, armpits and bikini area! Large weight in hand, non-slip handle design, easy to open and dry after each use (recommended to prolong the life of all parts, especially the blade)…

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Worst safety razor I have ever used

This is a cheaply made overpriced safety razor. It's like cheap Asian safety razors in pharmacies. I bought it for my wife not knowing that she broke her legs so I gave it a try. The picture says it all. I only use safety razors and that's all I've used in the last 10 years and I'm in the military. I shave every day, I had to dry shave with a safety razor in the desert and I've never cut myself so badly. Needless to say, it's coming back. I absolutely cannot recommend this shaver. I forgot to…
