Description of 🪒 Parker Deluxe Stoneware Apothecary Shaving Mug - Handmade in the USA (Black) for 3" Shave Soaps and Lathering Shave Creams

APOTHECARY STYLE: Parker’s classic-style apothecary mug will hold your shaving soap in style. This classic stoneware mug is an essential item for all wet shavers that shave with a Double Edge Safety Razor, Cartridge Razor or Straight Edge Razor. CREATE THE PERFECT LATHER: The tapered design of the shave mug allows for creating a luxurious lather when using your favorite shave brush. Simply place your shave soap or lathering shave cream into the mug, add hot water and make slow, small circles using the brush to create a thick and creamy lather! Experience a classic Barber Shop style shave in the comfort of your own home. ERGONOMIC HANDLE: This beautiful stoneware mug is styled with an ergonomic apothecary-style handle for a secure grip and easy handling. The round knob handle gets just the right angle for maximum whipping efficiency!. LARGE SIZE: Unlike most shave mugs that can hold 2.5” shave soaps; this fairly large shaving mug with handle can accommodate shave soap bars up to 3” and added water for the perfect lather. HEAVYWEIGHT DESIGN: Handmade in the USA, this shaving soap mug allows for excellent heat retention to create a pleasantly warm lather throughout the shave.

Pros: This magic heavy mug works great. It's strong enough with thick sides but easy to hold and use. It fits in my first aid kit. Cons: There is a hole on the inside of the jar that goes into the handle to hold it. This hole is filled with soap. Conclusion: This cup has the perfect size for me and looks very pretty. About the same size (or slightly larger with thicker walls) as Henry Cavendish's cute mug, which is also very good. It's smaller than the giant apothecary shaving cup with the…

Made in the USA. in men

That was an advantage for me. Made in the USA. I would buy a dozen of these mugs to keep American fingers busy and full. Thanks to everyone who was able to work and continues to work. Now I don't have to take the leftover shaving cream out of the jar anymore. I had to buy a brush made in England but that suits me. I will also support these people. Now I need to find shaving soap that is not made in (specify country).

Pros
  • The best in his niche
Cons

Fur - might be fine if you're using it to hold and lather up hard shaving soap, but if you're using soft ones and need to lather, a regular coffee mug works just as well. It's about the same opening width, so the brush handle makes a noisy clink on the sides when applying lather, and there are no protrusions to aid in lather application. We ended up switching to the Fine Lather Bowl with StaticHole Technology (Black) and were very happy with it - well worth the extra $10 or so.

Well if you can forget the price.

I want all of my shaving accessories to be made in the USA so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately the glazing had 2 small imperfections and no protrusions or detail to justify the $5-8 price premium. Heck, I'm willing to pay double for a US made one, but I should be able to look at it and be proud of the quality of workmanship. On the plus side, the weight was okay and the grip design was good. I'd pay twice as much for better glazing, underbody glazing, a more carefully applied Parker…
