Best in Other Sports as expected

I use it to remove grass from my shoes after running on the golf course. Works very well. Personally, if I were to use it on horses, I would wish for the handle to be more curved.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • It's ok

Sturdy and grippy

This is the basic choice for hooves. Sturdy design, easy to hold and use. The light color prevents it from "getting lost" in the shed. What else do you really need?

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Faulty

Great equestrian selection

Love this selection. That works great. The brush is really handy when cleaning hooves. The beak is just the right thickness to fit in the hoof yet is easy to maneuver with small stones.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Nothing here

Comfortable grip, metal picks when in use

This pick is the size of a man's hand and the brush holds up pretty well. After some use, the metal pick will begin to fatigue and bend. In this case we just use the brush to apply the Kopertox since the pickaxe becomes useless.

Pros
  • Durable surface
Cons
  • So far so good

Not strong enough for packed dry mud

Bought this for my first horse. It is excellent for basic hoof cleaning. But the metal hoe couldn't cope with the compacted dried dirt from the field. Had to buy another heavy one to handle. This metal pick will bend with every difficult clean. I do not recommend this for "real horses".

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Functionality

Nice pickaxe and brush combo

So we already had a pickaxe but no brush, which was a bit awkward. The pick and brush combo cleans those hooves much more efficiently so you can see what's going on there as you brush. It would have been better if it had a stronger grip but for the price it worked. Glad they're back in stock!

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Useless features
