This is a great size - small but the pins don't fall out when you remove the cap. I used some coconut oil to make the metal screw smoother. It's really nicely done.

My needle case arrived today and is well worth the money and the wait. Artfully made, like a very fine piece of furniture. I have to keep this in mind when embroidering in public; other artisans would envy.

They are beautiful. I recently bought two of these and they are wonderful. For those who like to have nice tools to work with, this will be very nice. The hardware is metal and the clasp feels very secure. Two different needle beds are made of wood in slightly different colors; and I'm glad that I can tell them apart.
