Excellent Winter Gloves: Outerwear

I wear them all winter 2014/15 Pros: - Pleasantly soft to the touch. Good flexibility - warmth. I can wear them down to 20 seconds (F) or below for short 20-30 minute rides. More than warm enough for long rides in the 30's and 40's. Waterproof. I wore them once for a 90 minute ride in wet snow and stayed dry for most of the ride. Moisture could have gotten in through the wrists and not through the material (my guess). Is the size correct? They were a bit tight at first and I was concerned about

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are cons

The bad news is that gloves impair dexterity.

Keeps hands warm in 38-50 F weather (haven't tried colder temperatures) while driving mostly around 27 mph Balancing the bike in tight spaces, e.g. B. between cars at traffic lights, make it clumsy. The fingertips of the glove are extended by an additional 1 cm due to the padding, which makes it difficult to grip objects or snap the helmet on. From a temperature of 55 the hands sweat; they appear as thick as snow gloves.

Pros
  • Nice touch
Cons
  • Hard to say

feels like I have fat fingers, zero dexterity

fingers too short for me again. My fingers aren't too long or anything, I'm 6ft 1in and they just didn't feel right. They're also a lot bulkier than I expected and they're not very nice between my fingers either. Returned them for PRO Barrier size XL and I really like the new gloves. They are good enough gloves, I just haven't looked for them - online stores, can't try on etc.

Pros
  • dope 🔥
Cons
  • doesn't everything fit

Ideal for outdoor sports in very cold weather

I am very happy with these gloves. The fact is that my fingers are very sensitive to cold. Due to the fact that I live in a cold climate, it was very difficult for me to move in autumn, winter and spring. However, since having these gloves I have found that even 2 hour runs or rides in cold weather down to 15 degrees Fahrenheit are tolerable. I will say that they have three negative qualities: It is difficult to put on a glove during training because the combination of sweat and fleece lining…

Poor manufacture of outerwear

As a competitive cyclist, I carefully research products (via the internet and my colleagues) before making any purchasing decisions. Over the years I have made most of my cycling clothing purchases from Pearl Izumi. And in most cases I've been very satisfied, but these gloves are an exception. The reviews above are true. In fact, here in Omaha, Nebraska, I've worn these gloves comfortably in temperatures ranging from 0 to 10 degrees. But it wasn't until a week later that the seam inside the…

NOT NEW Fall 2013 model

NOT NEW! These gloves were part of the Pearl Izumi Fall 2013 line. 2 stars because they are brand new. They are at least 5 years old and the coating has cracked from the first use. If the gloves were sold as 5 YEAR OLD never used gloves at 70% off I would give them 4 stars out of 5. Pearl Izumi has good gear but I wouldn't buy it at 5 years old. Still warm though

Pros
  • A dream comes true
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
