Peepers Unisex Adult 650175 Reading Tortoise Review

Unlike other reading glasses we've bought over the years, they look great BUT after the first pair broke at the hinge I mistakenly thought maybe I did something to set it off. When I bought the second pair, they broke while putting them on in front of me! The hinges are simply inadequate and broken. So please don't believe the beautiful design and color as they are totally flimsy and inadequate. If you do decide to buy, take a few pairs with you so you can replace them if they break.

I've bought two Peepers reading glasses in the past and really liked their strong frames and great looks. I needed a smaller and less bulky pair if I had to use them to read documents during web conferences, and round frames seemed like what I needed. I was shocked when I pulled them out of the box today (they are the ones on the right) to find that they were extremely light compared to others. I wouldn't dare put them in a pocket or pouch lest they break. Not at all what I expected.

I buy a lot of glasses from Revain, 5 packs at $15 etc. These (and earlier versions) look better than most but the 5 pack glasses are more durable. Pipers tend to hack with little abuse from the reader. If you spoil your readers, this could be for you. If you sit on them, leave them in your briefcase, car, trash can, etc. Look elsewhere. A slight impact will instantly transform these goggles into "hockey tape in the middle" goggles. 5 people need to hire peepers designer or vice versa. I need…
