It does the job of keeping my gear dry when rafting/camping. Only four stars because the quirks (above the foam) make it sore back and not suitable for everyday driving/travel use if you want to get to the camera without problems. This 1300 Pelican is very strong and well built. It comes with thick padding that greatly reduces interior space but protects everything inside from bumps, falls and moisture. I found that I only needed thin bottom and top pads to store my camera. With the lid closed, it is very safe. The only thing I don't like are the clasps. They are very difficult to open/close. Seriously I wouldn't advise bumping into these things even though they're strong enough to survive. I bought this little bag to organize and protect my stuff. Unfortunately it didn't work for what I wanted (my fault for not reading the specs carefully enough) but I eventually found a use for it with other gear. Before this incident I only had SKB cases. They feel lighter (perhaps the density of the foam is lower), and the fasteners are much harder to open and close, which can be both a plus and
