I will not be the first or the last amateur or professional to tout the merits of this immaculate product. But beyond that, so many reviews have been written about this archival quality photo glass that my comments would be a song of praise. So suffice it to say that this is all the best that has ever been said about him. Combined with one of Pentax's excellent DSLRs, with or without jitter reduction, you can expect some of the finest, sharpest and most detailed images you can capture. So that!

Given the reputation of this lens, I suspect I've picked up a rare bad specimen. Mine on the Pentax K-1 didn't produce a sharp image, even at the aperture. No fine-tuning of the autofocus helped. With the calibration tool it was not possible to really sharpen part of the image. The purple border was terrible. I didn't see any obvious flaws or dirt that could explain the problem. Works with Pentax K-1 and definitely meets my expectations. I am self-taught and do not claim any knowledge. At best, it's a hobby that loves spending time in nature and taking photos. Bought in winter so I was limited in photographic subjects. I had to learn to shoot in manual mode, but the camera is very good at adjusting settings to light conditions.
