📷 Pentax 105WR QD Date Zoom Camera with IQ Technology - 35mm Review

I ordered it for my son for Christmas. He didn't use it until March and then we sent the film to be processed. When the film came back, the return window had closed. The photos didn't come out at all. The entire roll was black except for two, which were black and yellow. The store said the camera didn't work. If we try to fix this and it works later I'll leave another review.

I bought two of these. The first worked for exactly two years, then stopped working. I bought another one because the pictures it takes are amazing in almost all circumstances. He worked exactly two years, then he's broke! There must be a planned obsolescence. Anyway, now I'm buying Minolta or Olympus which hopefully will last longer. I would give this product 5 stars for image quality but deducted two for lack of durability.

Having taken this camera on several short and long trips I have found it reliable and easy to use in almost every situation. I've ridden the 105WR through the muddy waters of Arizona's Pariah River, used it in downpours, dropped it in quicksand, strapped it to my backpack, and it still takes incredibly sharp photos. However the camera doesn't always deliver accurate colors due to the focal length averaging system (hence 4 instead of 5) but for easy, RELIABLE aiming and shooting I couldn't ask…
