Very strong and great for removing old mortar from bricks which other tools cannot. Purchase replacement springs as the spring that holds the chisel in place will break after a few hours of use. Springs are universal and can be found at most air tool retailers. I called Wilmar about the springs and they sent me two sets during the warranty period.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

I don't know if this was an isolated problem or not but my used air hammer has fallen into disrepair. It won't work, I think there is a leak around the piston. I bought this a few months ago in anticipation of future need so I'm well past the return window. My fault is for not checking it when it first arrived. It feels solid and I think it will probably be ok if you buy a new one. I've had 50-50 on my second hand purchases so far. I think I'll stick to new products from now on.

QUALITY OF SPRING STEEL IS CARE!

I have not used this spring tool holder before. But with my 20-year-old B&D air hammer, the bracket is very tight. So tight that the short end snapped off very easily when I placed 2 Pr Vice Grips on it to expand and "screw" it to the air hammer. So I simply "screwed" the bracket up to the air hammer with a pipe wrench. Since what should have been spring steel broke off so easily, I am concerned about the quality of this retaining spring and whether it will hold and hold tools from a hammer…
