6 Point Socket by Performance Tool, Model W32034 Review

The socket I received had rust and some battery corrosion, I just don't understand? Why is quality control declining drastically lately? I keep all my tools clean and rust free. While I know this will still work, I wonder if I should ever buy tools from Amazon again. I don't want rusty tools, not what I pay for!

I bought this for limited use to remove the anode rod in my RV. It fits perfectly and looks well made. It's reasonably priced so I'm not upset if I leave it in an RV. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the terrible packaging. It's a brittle piece of thin plastic that breaks when pulled with pliers. leaves sharp edges. The only way I could get it out was to use a flathead screwdriver and pry it off. It took another 5 minutes to get the plastic out so it could be used. A two-minute job…

I have not used this socket but it looks good. This outlet has some of the most dangerous plastic packaging I have ever dealt with. The packaging fits snugly against the body of the outlet and will not be pulled out. There is a very small pliers imprint on the packaging, but no instructions. I unclipped some of the plastic wrapping from the outlet, but didn't remove it from the box.
