It is great!

Love it and highly recommend it. It comes with lots of beads for a somewhat cheap price. Like all Perler beads, they are fairly easy to iron.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • A few small things

More expensive but much more consistent quality than other brands

They melt much better than generic brands. I like getting those big bags of solid colors instead of sorting big mixed bins, but this route is more expensive. I usually buy the colors I use the most in these bags and then use the mixed bag for the other colors I don't use that often. If you are into bead art, I recommend sticking with the Perler brand. Other brands may have serious melting issues that could ruin your project.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Great activity for kids aged 3+

I run a daycare and we had a lot of school age kids over the summer. They loved making beaded things and I usually had at least 5 creations to melt on a daily basis. Even the younger kids loved making them and one of the 5 year olds asked his mom to bring them home too because he loved it. We found that 3- and 4-year-olds loved just painting their boards with the colors they liked, while 5-year-olds and older made patterns and searched for specific colors to fill in their boards.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
