Same tape as Big Box Home Store but wider

Essentially the same fiberglass cement board tape found at local hardware stores, it is gray and designed for use with cement board but is 3" wide. I've only seen 2 inches in local stores. The 3" is good for neatening corners where two cement boards meet.

Pros
  • Thicker fiberglass strands for greater strength than regular mesh tape.
Cons
  • Not sure

Works great for HVAC Flex Duct Support!

We used this wide fiberglass tape to properly support the flexible heating and air conditioning ducts in our new home. The HVAC contractor failed to properly support the Flex Ductwork, leaving sharp bends and improper spacing of the Flex Ductwork support, causing the Flex Dust insulation to shrink. I needed a wide flexible mesh to solve this problem. This product worked like a dream!

Pros
  • Heavy duty vinyl coated filaments resist the corrosive effects of alkali in the home
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Excellent for its intended use

Excellent for its intended use I use it as a professional tiler, mainly to prepare corners and joints in showers before waterproofing. Use regular fiberglass tape, but it often cut when I was floating in the corners in my thin set.I then switched to this product in 2" but now I'm sticking with 3" because the quality of substrate installation by other subcontractors leaves significant gaps for me to Correction.I think it's expensive but given the percentage of each shower it's cheap. Please note…

Pros
  • Width x Length: 3" x 150'
Cons
  • No instructions
