Dirty and disillusioned

My daughter gave it to me for Christmas. She kept asking me why I don't wear most of them. Eventually I ran out of excuses and finally told her at least 4 pairs were faded and black. Imagine the disappointment of a 14-year-old girl because she thinks she is giving her mother the "perfect" gift.
