NOT CORRECT? Terrible shave, inked blades

I'm new to shaving with safety razors and was hoping to get rid of the beard burn I get from disposable razors. I tried many different disposable razors but nothing worked. Many forums have recommended safety razors to prevent razor burn. I bought a WEISHI Nostalgic 2 blade long handle safety razor and it came with 5 Weishi blades. Shaving definitely helped them, so I looked around for some more blades. After reading many reviews (some for other woods) everyone concluded that these are Personna

The new packaging ruined a once good product.

I used to like these blades and they were a good deal. Unfortunately, they've changed the packaging from paper envelopes that used to contain individual blades to envelopes that appear to be made out of some sort of waxed paper. The problem is, whatever this new material is, it's sticking to the blade. I can't tell if they're somehow glued to the blades (can't figure out why on earth they do that) or if the wax on the blades is melting. But the end result is the same. You have to separate the…

Best, Original, Perfect for me

So I searched and read all possible reviews about these blades before buying. These are actually the same original blades everyone is looking for, with a blue label, whatever you want to call it. Let's start with that. I bought a Van Der Hagen razor from Target for $15. Came with my blades, of course. Shaved with them the first day it wasn't bad but it wasn't what I expected from a DE shave. From a cartridge, a dollar razor, Harry and a store bought by Gillette. I ordered these blades for one…

My favorite blade among men

The more blade reviews you read, the more confused you become. The same blade, praised by some, despised by others. Finding the right blade comes down to trial and error. One of the downsides to most reviews is that the blade is simply being judged by that person with no context or previous use of the blade. You cannot determine if that person's shaving experience or history matches yours. With that in mind, here's my attempt. I find my beard rough, albeit patchy. My skin is very sensitive…

These are not old, made in the USA

I noticed a change in the packaging when ordering but didn't look closely. Now they are made in Germany. Which in itself isn't bad, but they changed the blade as a whole. It's not as sharp as it used to be. I shave every day, but it's short stubble at best. So the old blades got me in 3-4 days. And the first day might have been too hot for my skin if I wasn't careful. But they hardly survive the second day. And the wax sheaths keep sticking to the blade, making it difficult to remove. I hope…

Should have tried it years ago

I've been using Derby and Feather knives for years and they've done a perfect job. The reason I stopped using them was the plastic containers they came in with a clear plastic wrap and 5 blades in a plastic container is a lot of plastic that I threw in the bin. They are not marked as recyclable. I bought these blades in packs of 100 and had to find room for the large box they came in. I then ordered Personna Blades hoping they would work well and due to the lack of packaging plastic. I didn't…

I don't know which marketer set the current standard for disposable razors, but they're certainly reserved for a warm spot in hell if they're not already sitting well there. It's true, just never needed changing, a one-off concept that was overturned by the products that haunted my young adulthood. I don't know why they fell out of favor when it came to shaving. The only other method that I think is the best is the razor. I've tried but the learning curve is high and I need more time. There's a
