Caught on fire immediately. Put it on my Odd Fire Jeep engine along with the PerTronix ignition kit. Just make sure how much resistance you need.

For installation on a 2510 jd tractor with electronic ignition. Starts and runs like new. More power than ever and a snow thrower built for a 75hp tractor.

Installed on my 1985 3.0 liter MerCruiser engine with PerTronix digital ignition and engine starts and runs great. No more hard starts. With the digital ignition, the engine runs very smoothly at idle without having to laboriously change the ignition timing. Of course, this is the case with a recent cleaning and adjustment of the carburetor.

I bought this new super coil to match the Pertronix electronic ignition unit - no more points. Both made starting my '55 Chevy easy and smoothed out the engine like never before. Please Note: Follow the instructions to check the coil resistance - you may need to remove the old resistor pack as this new coil has it all built into the unit. I only installed it today so it hasn't had a chance to prove itself in months but I bought it to replace a darn old coil when my vintage tractor a few weeks ago had a starting mishap. I also bought a Pertronix Ignitor electronic ignition system to solidify everything. Doesn't matter! Before these parts were installed the tractor was giving off black smoke and I thought it was a carburetor problem but now it runs like a champ and there is no smoke. I hope this role lasts for many years.
