This coat is for my whippet. They belong to the greyhound family, are slim and have a very short coat. Bought for my niece's boxers. It's soft and warm. I bought the size according to the size chart. Fits great except the hip belt barely fits her waist but a simple velcro extension takes care of that. We love cover. Boxer is still not a fan. I think that will change when we have a cold day. (I live in Florida. We only have a couple a year. LOL).

I bought two coats, one XL, the other XXL. My grays are big. The coats themselves are great. They are perfect for rainy and fall weather. However, as some others have pointed out, the clasp on the middle section is unrealistically short. It seems no one has taken measurements anywhere near a real sighthound. Now I have to buy extra velcro to make the closure work. If you are considering this coat, just be warned.

Love this for my Saluki! Every time I look outside and see him in this jacket during the colder months I'm satisfied knowing he's warm and content. When the weather gets cold, we used to suggest him to go down to the basement. He usually accepted the offer when the weather was below 50 degrees. I rarely write reviews but I am so happy with this coat I wanted to share. Although my dog is not actually a greyhound, he has long legs, body and neck and I knew that ordinary wool would not suit him. He also HATES getting wet.
