Lightweight, durable, vibrant color

I use a home/car key clip to keep my keys on my purse. First I used the Black Diamond clip which is all gray but then I found a clip with a yellow tint that I like better. I've also used my Black Diamond for ice climbing, but since I didn't get it until the summer, I haven't tried strapping on my ice tools yet.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Iron Man approved.

These things are surprisingly strong. I have no problem attaching rope grabs to it when flying around the site. They'll also fit a Milwaukee punch or drill for when you need your hands free. I was worried they wouldn't, but despite the snug fit, power tools fit and won't fall out when hanging high and tapping. Anyway, this metal lady agrees.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Little things

Break point for climbing and ice gear

I can't imagine ice climbing with it since I've used it. Each of these holds six bolts, so two holders can handle almost any incline I would climb. While these are great, from time to time the gate will appear or disappear entirely as you spin. I had to change about one a season. The aluminum version of this could be a winner. I have several holders without goals. If anyone knows where I can find a replacement gate I can get it up and running again.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Good but not the best
