Very happy with this product

Very happy with this product, after a trial run you can attach or detach them to any tire in about a minute and a half after you get used to the idea of a red ratchet. Got them for my civilian and they have allowed me to navigate the icy, hilly roads in my area with no problems. Great product that I will definitely recommend to a friend.

Pros
  • snow chain reliability standard
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Got the chains, they are easy to install but they didn't come close.

These chains are very well made but the Revain website says they will fit my wife's 2014 Ford Focus Titan when fitted with stock 215 50 17 tires are. Got the chains and they are easy to install but they didn't even come close to sizing. What annoys me is that I was tasked with returning the chains after Revane said they would fit.

Pros
  • Pewag Durable Hardened Nickel-Mangane 3.2mm
Cons
  • Something else

AVOID PEWAG'S SNOW CHAIN RECOMMENDATIONS!

I bought a Pewag snow chain for my Tesla and I am delighted with the quality. I also ordered an RS 80 for my Jeep on Pewag's recommendation, but it was too big for my tires. They then recommended an RS 77 which I received and tried to install but it is too small as shown in the photo. Now I have two sets that I can't use and shipping from California to England cost over $100 each. Obviously it's not worth it because the chains cost less. Revain will not give me a refund until their UK store has

Pros
  • Designed to outperform the competition
Cons
  • A few small things

Works well during a winter storm on an icy mountain pass

This uses a brilliant chain tensioning method (tiny pulley/ratchet) to ensure you don't have loose chains damaging your car. It's also a little tricky to figure out at first, so make sure you put them on (and take them off) a few times as practice before trying them out on a cold, snowy road. I only practiced once so it took me a good 15 minutes to re-read the instructions and get them, which took me in the middle of a snowstorm. But they worked well, without them I wouldn't have made it…

Pros
  • Always fit snow chains before using
Cons
  • Not bad
