It has many different type of pictures; from landscapes to cityscapes, nature shots, animals etc. Some are even vintage photos. You can add your own images too! Pexels has tons of amazing images. The images are all tagged, so it's very easy to search for a subject matter you aren't familiar with or one you do know. I dislike that you cannot easily navigate to the main photo page. It takes more clicks than I am accustomed to to get to the right place. Also, the image descriptions can be very basic, and you often have to zoom in quite a bit to see important details. I love how easy it was when you have an idea what kind of picture/video or illustration style would fit your project perfectly!
