Phenolphthalein Indicator Solution Dropper Containing Review

So I ordered for high school science lab. Have been doing this lab for years. I did a diluted vinegar test which usually works but to no avail. I tried 100% vinegar, the color did not change. It was two bottles so I tried another bottle of straight vinegar. I even tried lemon juice and muriatic acid but nothing. Nothing at all.

This product is AMAZING when you need to test pH, for example when making soap in a hot process (e.g. in a slow cooker or on the stovetop)! This is the DREAM of soap makers. I used my tongue and also bought an expensive digital pH reader. Let me say that the tongue method works better than a digital reader which is clogged, difficult to use and quick to clean, but this product eliminates the inherent danger of the tongue method. I decided to purchase this to test my hot process soap to ensure it is safe to use. As a test, when I was adding the sodium hydroxide to the oils, I put some of the mixture on a paper towel and dripped clear-colored phenolphthalein onto it. Well, phenolphthalein immediately turned light pink, like fuchsia, which is exactly what it was supposed to do.
