They last a long time

I had LED bulbs in my bulbs. I didn't like the color so it's okay they all burned out in a few months. However, these are going well so far. Same experience with another Phillips halogen which I'll review in a moment. Also in this lamp there were LEDs, which quickly burned out - I replaced Philips with a halogen, and no more problems. The light also has a good color.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • No power

Excellent OEM lamp - very bright

There's nothing quite like an OEM product and Phillips lamps are no exception. They are well made and give off a lot of light. With 50 watts, each of my hoods is now almost "too bright". The original bulbs lost their luster over time and when one blew out I replaced it with the same wattage. In retrospect, I think 25-35 watts would have been enough given the small footprint for two bulbs. But these pears are the best.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Can't remember

Received broken: Lightbulbs

Instead of the box with six lightbulbs shown, I received two blister packs of 3 sealed in bubble wrap. I ordered when I had used my last spare bulb. To date I have not opened the packaging to replace a burned out bulb and found that a bulb was broken in the sealed blister pack as shown in the picture. I've never had a problem getting a six pack but obviously the blister pack doesn't hold up to shipping. I am no longer satisfied with this purchase.

  • Solid construction

  • Hard to say

I hate those bulbs in bulbs

A bulb lasted less than 2 hours. The rest was fine. They are used in the lamps that I rent out. If I could I would get rid of devices that have this. I have a low ceiling. Incandescent bulbs generate a lot of heat, are short lived and expensive if you have a 5 bulb light fixture and a 3 bulb light fixture. They are usually out of stock at my local big box store. I'm sure there are other low-cost rental companies around that put these cheap $30 lights in apartments that cost renters a lot of…

Everything worked except 1 for bulbs

Basic MR16 Gu10 bulbs of 6 work as expected but one. When the order came in I tried the bulbs out that weekend and all but one were in good condition. When I opened the package of one of them, since each of them is packed separately, I almost cut my fingers. One of the lamps came with the glass broken as the surface of the lamp was very sharp around the edges. I just put it back in my pocket because I didn't want broken glass everywhere. I left feedback for the seller; I hope they can send me a

Buy the suction cup recommended for these lamps

This is more of a warning than a review. The style of these bulbs (not only the Phillips brand, but any other brand of this design MR16 GU10 Base severely cuts your finger if you try to take it out with your hand. In any case, you do not need fingerprints on such bulbs. But yourself if you planned to take out a burned-out light bulb by hand and put in a new one, and then clean the glass from fingerprints, most likely you will cut your finger on the metal case that the light bulb is in. It is…

Great product Great price

The price for these six packs is almost the same as the bulb I pay to buy at my local grocery store. I feel like I change my kitchen lightbulbs every four weeks. Looking for a cheaper option I went with this one, I gave it a try, I had nothing to lose as I got 6 bulbs for a penny more than I paid for 1. Overall I'm very happy with the lifespan of these bulbs I've had. lasted several weeks and none burned out. I've seen some comments from people who had bulbs that didn't work upon delivery, but…

It gets worse every year

We have 8 lights that use them. I've always bought these bulbs but they burn out every time I order them. They're designed to fail after 2000 hours, but ours don't even last that long. Some of the last boxes only lasted a few months and were shot. The same bulbs have lasted more than a year in the same lamp. I will try another brand next time. I have exceeded the maximum price of a product with degrading quality. I remember they used to only be rated for 2000 hours and lasted years instead of…
