Wrong bulbs but great buy

I actually bought the wrong bulbs but still gave this 5 stars because the price couldn't be beat and the shipping was fast so word of wisdom. Don't forget to check the connections before ordering

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Protection

It is better to replace light than incandescent bulbs.

It is extremely difficult to find "new" lights that match these lamps. Ordered replacement tubes thinking KISS was what the current tubes are DOA. In the end the electric light fixture was set on fire = I couldn't find a 'new' light fixture to use these bulbs.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Without automatic

The product in the photo is not what was sent.

The Phillips bulbs were the right size and voltage but the package came with six bulbs per box instead of three. It was 680 lumens, not the 750 lumens advertised on the 3-pack. Picture 3 and the six pack showed Philips Halogen MR16 so be careful with this difference as they may differ from what you currently have in your lights.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Appearance

Works great in my Elco 1499IC case and dimmers

I'll be the last person to lug a ladder out of the garage to pull out burned out bulbs and replace them. I've read the reviews of some of the cheaper bulbs and just didn't feel like the savings made up the further flight of stairs. I have had other identical Philips halogen bulbs in other fixtures (in high vaulted ceilings) for over a decade. and they still (thankfully) still burn. Thanks very much! hp I can't find them at my major hardware stores so buy a lot so you're ready when one comes…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • New competitors are here

False Advertising Advertisement advertises bulbs as 400 lumens but actual bulbs show 680 lumens. It's unfortunate that Philips lied, and it's even worse that this site allows such behavior. It has become so tiresome to buy lightbulbs lately. You want to compare the right specs, you know, like lumens, color temperature (K), and god forbid, all the "product details" show really applicable specs. When will this madness stop?

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Out of Style

Halogen bulbs still outperform MR16 LED bulbs

I have these bulbs all over my house and they are great. Very dim when you turn the dimmer all the way down β€’ Nice warm color especially when the dimmer is off Cons: β€’ They use more power than LED bulbs I've recently tried replacing some of these bulbs with LED equivalents. However, after several attempts, I have not found a single LED bulb that matches the heat and dimming range of these bulbs. I think I'll stick with halogen bulbs for now.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • I will add later

Expensive but great lightbulbs

Philips makes great lightbulbs. I've been using these halogen bulbs in my 25 year old trekking light since day one and they've always held up surprisingly well. The lamps are dimmable and the light is bright white and does not change over time. If you live in California, good luck with your delivery; CA has made it nearly impossible to buy lightbulbs that are "below par" by this week's standards, but you can usually find a vendor or two or packaging options that you can ship to CA. (I couldn't…

  • Easy to read control panel
