Bought a Jeep Wrangler!

Bought for a Jeep Wrangler that had terrible visibility at night. It was a big upgrade. Driving at night went from dangerous to very acceptable, my idea of very acceptable is like having a mid 90's model car like a Honda Civic or something. The Jeep headlight housings themselves are still pretty bad, but I feel a lot safer driving at night. If you own a Jeep Wrangler and are on a budget, this is a great upgrade. If you want to spend a few bucks more, upgrade all your headlight housings. Look on

Pros
  • Get a bright white light
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Very Happy good for Lights & Lighting Accessories

I'm not a fan of headlights - I'm not trying to blind anyone or get cosmic light out of a car; but I need good headlights to see well at night as I get older. anyway - I bought them after a short search, without thinking or comparing. They are amazing! The left bulb was missing, so after installing it I was able to compare it with the bulb that was already working (Sylvania H13 Silverstar was installed on both sides 21 months ago). The light hitting the garage wall from this new bulb was much…

Just a few hundred K brighter than the original

I never paid attention to the actual K value so after I installed them on my Jeep Wrangler. (PITA vs. GM truck. Just saying). and after giving them a test drive tonight I decided to read the back of the box. And judging by the chart they're around 3500K (why not just say 3500K?), which is technically whiter than the standard 3100K (? +/-). However, they are not as brilliantly white as one could easily get used to. Rather, it's the difference between a dirty headlight and a clean headlight. This

much brighter OEM Jeep

my stock Jeep Wrangler came from the factory with German Vosla 28092 (base model). I decided to upgrade to Philips X-tremeVision to see how much brighter it gets. Removing the bulbs from a Wrangler's headlights is quite difficult. After removing the grille and headlight assembly (held by T15 bits), new Philips bulbs were fitted. After installation, when I turned on the light in the garage, I immediately noticed that it was brighter. Then I did a test drive in the area and yes, these headlights…

Pros
  • Unique blue cap on bulb creates cool blue effect in headlight reflector during daytime
Cons
  • Negative gift

I doubt it 100% more. it seems that at best 25% more, it really is.

is slightly brighter than the bulbs I've replaced, but one burned out and the other probably wasn't at full brightness after being so old. Replaced low beam on my 2009 Challenger R/T. The job took about 15 minutes, mainly because the blown bulb didn't pop out but broke in the bracket. So it took a few minutes longer. I was expecting a dramatic difference if it were 100% compliant, but the distance doesn't seem much greater. I haven't been anywhere without streetlights, so maybe I'll notice…

Pros
  • When installing a new lamp, never touch the glass. Or use gloves or a paper towel when working.
