It took me a while to figure out how to get the features working. there was not enough information on this topic. There are a few other things I'd like to get comfortable with. Overall good to have. Saves from finger cramps. lol. Correction to my review: There is a user manual when connected to a computer. A way to save paper, folks. lol

I have bought Philips digital voice recorders before but this recorder is definitely in the budget class. This recorder is not as easy to use as my previous recorder, but after consulting the online manual I was able to figure everything out. In terms of recording, it is comparable to another Philips recorder that I use, as well as similar budget recorders from other manufacturers. This unit comes with a 'Quick Start Guide' which was too confusing to be helpful. The buttons aren't exactly intuitive, so I downloaded the full manual. Even with this one (not well written) I still didn't get on very well so I took it to my 20 year old daughter because kids seem to be so easy to work with gadgets.
