💡 12 Volt Industrial Electrical Landscape Lighting by Philips - Halogen for Optimal Performance Review

Two of the four bulbs that weren't blown were fine. I couldn't put the two broken ones together so I have to leave a one star review. The intact pears were really great.

Really terrible. I've installed over 20 of these lights and none have lasted more than a few weeks. I bought LED lights to replace and have not replaced a single one and it has been 9 months!

ATTENTION! READ CAREFULLY READ STARS #1! The label says these bulbs last a year and a half at 3 hours a day. ALSO IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE THAT PHILLIPS DOES NOT REPLY A SINGLE QUESTION OR COMMENT. YOU REALLY DON'T CARE IF YOU DECEPTION. YOU WILL SELL MORE PRICELIGHTS. WHY DID YOU NOT SPECIFY THIS?!?! Really deceptive. BUY LEDs. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU GET.

They're pretty standard for general landscape lighting. I particularly like the 2800 color temperature typical of halogen. My only complaint is that they don't last as long as I'd like. One always seems to burn out, so I keep a few extras handy. Also, the metal plug at the base seems to loosen over time in the socket. Often I have to push it into the socket so that the light comes on again. Overall good lights.

The packaging states an expected service life of 0.5 years when used approximately 3 hours per day. (With automatic lighting and 9 hours of darkness, that's 2 months. Less in winter.) Next time I'll try a longer-lasting solution. (The bulbs worked and were bright enough; I tried just handling fabric.) Nothing on the website said it would last more than 600 hours hence three stars. UPDATE: four lightbulbs, two at a time. Each lasted about three months. So be vigilant and such.

I suppose this would be acceptable for my application, "glowing puddles" under the mirrors of my 2002 Volvo V70 XC AWD as they don't stay on all the time, only for a short time, but knowing about them can have an impact Impact some people's purchase. They have just arrived and I will not be returning them but the back of the box says they have an expected lifespan of 1/2 year out of 3 years. hours in the night. It's funny if it's true! I've noticed that some people complain that life is short while others say that it is long. Update 2: Half of the remaining light bulbs burned out in just 3 weeks (at about 6 hours a day). Very very disappointed. Update: I ordered two sets for the second time and screwed it up. First they were packed in a thin envelope wrapped in bubble wrap. Bad, bad choice of packaging.
