Great Dimming - LED Bulbs

Wow - Amazing - LED Bulb that gently dims to the lowest light. I am using a Lutron TGCL-153 dimmer. There's a slight rise from the highest (whitest) level to a barely noticeable dimming, but then it dims down very smoothly to a really nice low setting. It looks and feels like a frosted lightbulb. Impressive. I've finally found a lightbulb that I plan to use around the house, although I'll be buying a 60W version for some rooms. By the way, the brightness on it is close to the alleged 800 lumen…

Nice bulb but some glitches

This bulb looks great and stays lit most of the time. Many light bulbs do not meet specifications, so they can be significantly more bluish than others. Sometimes a random set of these bulbs in an array of 2 lights, 8 bulbs total, will only flicker at half brightness. Cycling the current on and off will cause the lamps to work properly again, so I can only assume that there is a fault in the lamp rectifiers that could cause them to hit a bad point on the voltage curve and not fully start. The…

Unacceptably short lifespan

These are great bulbs, except for one big problem: they wear out much faster than the standard bulbs they need to replace. The manufacturer has gotten something terribly wrong with the way they are made, because in an open fixture with the lamp on for less than a couple of hours a day, the lamp will fail after about 3 months. First, the cool white part of the light source goes out, and after a while, the entire light source fails. It wasn't just one bulb in the pack that did it. Every bulb in…
