"Warm Dim " still needs editing

We bought these to replace the BT30 bulbs in the recessed glasses in the living room. We black them out every night when we say our candlelight family evening prayers. They seem to work, but not really. At full brightness, the color still doesn't go well with the incandescent bulb. There is a slight color cast reminiscent of mercury lighting, likely due to a low CR index. When they dim, they get warmer, but not warm enough. 2200K doesn't really correspond to the lower limit of incandescent…

  • handy item

Decent light, meets specs but wish there was a Goldilocks version

Solid light, no flicker, we didn't use a dimmer. All sizes are as expected, the cost and delivery are satisfied. We have both daylight and soft white, some are BR30, some are BR40. The only downside is that there is no intermediate temperature model. During the day it's 5000K and warm is 2200-2700K but after seeing both we really wanted a warm and average color temperature of 3500-4000K. We put warm spaces in spaces like the dining room and lounges in the kitchen and laundry room, and moving…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Now that my old stock of BR30 halogen bulbs has run out I was afraid to buy the typically dim and ugly 600 liter LED options for the kitchen to install. Along with this, however, a new, quite bright version of the Philips 2700K BR30 appeared, which copes well with all tasks. Color is good although I'd say it's closer to 3000K at full power, they're quiet and don't flicker at any brightness, and the five bulbs are perfectly controlled until dark by my 20 year old dimmer. Wonderful. Next to a 65W
