8 hours charging time about 30 minutes work.

A new battery should last 50 minutes but in reality you will get about 40 minutes. After each charge, the battery is discharged and holds less charge. I have bg2039 from December 17th 2017 it is now July 15th 2019 and I get about 30 minutes work. I've only used it a couple of times because it takes 8 hours to charge and it died for me while I was only trimming one leg. The foil side of the trimmer needs to be replaced after a few uses to get a clean cut. The other end works great, just hope the

The product started great but changed after 6 months.

I've had this shaver for about 6 months now and ended up throwing it away. Everything started great, smooth, no major problems, the shave is great. Everything seemed great. Then, after 6 months, the blades became uneven, cutting into the skin and leaving huge cuts and scratches on the body. Unfortunately, this product has a bad design. I would definitely advise against buying this shaver.

Buy individual devices instead of all-in-ones

Don't buy all-in-ones, buy two shavers as separate components and you will be happier. from an earlier version. The beard trimmer starts too long for a good shade, it starts with a short beard. There is no such thing as a skinny haircut to get the top part of the mustache under your nose. Nothing to trim eyebrows, ears, nose, etc. Most standalone beard trimmers come with everything. The body razor works perfectly. When fully charged, it works perfectly. The handle is too short to reach…

The battery lasts about a year - it's not worth it! DO NOT BUY.

Suitable for trimming a beard for about a year. Read other reviews; Most users seem to experience battery issues after 3-18 months. Mine lasted a little over a year. Now, after fully charged, it will work for about 30 seconds. This would not be a problem if the batteries could be easily replaced. A quick Google search reveals that battery replacement is an important electronics endeavor that, even with caution, is likely to fail. So do not buy this product.

Pros
  • Not fit for purpose for which it is intended
Cons

Update: I have my eyebrows in #3 with it. except that I trimmed it (by light pressure) slipped to number 1. So now I have 1 length number 1 eyebrow. Do not buy. It's been a little over a year for me. A fully charged battery cannot handle a full beard trim. I literally have to leave the goatee or mustache, load it up, and then finish the haircut. Cuts well but needs more battery life. If you have a small face or a messy beard, you might be fine.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Garbage good for beard and mustache care

I don't like almost everything about this device. I bought it a little over a year ago and will be ordering another brand after completing this review and it will not be something Philips Norelco. It does no good at all. I have a goatee and mustache, and for the past two months I could not do without trimming and trimming without draining the battery after a full charge. There's no precision in using the razor blade around a mustache or goatee, so I always end up with a razor blade. And even in

Incredibly low battery

This is the second Norelco trimmer I've bought. The first worked fine for about a year until the battery held a charge. I took some responsibility for this - I left it in the charging cradle the whole time. The second option is much worse. It doesn't hold a charge at all and I've tried not leaving it plugged in and only charging it when the indicator turns red. The battery is struggling to power the clipper and it's not powerful enough to clip hair, which is obviously a problem. It might be a…

This trimmer from Norelco is GREAT. battery, not so much!

This is Norelco's fourth trimmer for my partner. Design/functionality has steadily improved over the years, but the battery isn't that good. After only a few months, if charged overnight, it lasts through the entire trim, but ends up being gone (with the low-power indicator flashing). This is frustrating as the batteries are not replaceable. The trimmer is well made, but the battery is a bad joke. Body design doesn't seem to be Norelco's forte either, they have a track record of poorly fitting…
