I recommend looking for an alternative.

I don't understand how he gets positive reviews. Even if I received a razor with serious flaws in terms of blade quality and performance, the tilt of the rotating faces would still warrant poor design. If you need razors when you travel, you would be *much* better off just picking up a pack of cheap single-blade handheld razors for $1 compared to this one. It's awkward to angle, feels incredibly uncomfortable, is rough on the skin like a rusty, unevenly worn, lower-end handheld razor, and…

No suitcase included

I just received the following. I ordered the Philips Norelco PQ208/40 travel electric shaver precisely because of its convenient travel size and the case that comes with it. To my surprise it didn't work. although the description clearly states that it is: What's in the box Philips Norelco 510 shaver Protective cap Cleaning brush 2 AA batteries Travel case

Best travel razor

I also have a Panasonic Microshield travel razor, that's my comparison for this review. I won't compare it to my regular full Norelco battery because that would be unfair. I've always had trouble getting flat hairs in the corner of my jaw or on my Adam's apple with the Panasonic. I had to struggle to pick up each hair and "feed" it to the razor, which can drive you crazy after a while. The Panasonic was also noisy and vibrated like crazy. Loud is a relative term, but when the razor hit my jaw…

I beat this thing to death and it still works

I took this on camping trips when I was in the military and it has never let me down. It lived in a small pocket on my pants next to my boot, got soaked in mud and sweat, banged against myriad objects, dusted with sand and mud, and still provided a constant, if sometimes uncomfortable (because of the sand and everything else ) shave. The batteries would last a month, and it took little more than rinsing the blades/mesh and the occasional oiling to keep it going. Very reliable, compact and…

Excellent rechargeable travel razor

Better than expected. Lasted two weeks with daily use. If the power is gone, does not work (without first braking). I use the same brand with excellent trimmer heads so this wasn't a close shave. BUT it works quickly and without special facial cleansing (waking up and shaving). Cleaning the head is easy and doesn't need to be done too often; I always removed the head and tapped out the cuttings. Only concerns: (1) pressing the ON button can cause the cutter head to dislodge/pop out, and (2) the

I have Panasonic ES3831 and Braun M60 travel shavers and love them. I recently bought a PQ208/40 to try it out and in my experience it shaves reasonably closely compared to other shavers (if I shave a Panasonic or Braun after shaving the PQ208/40 it hardly removes the extra mustache ). The PQ208/40 takes significantly longer to get a relatively close shave, partly because it has to hover over the skin for the dual heads to cover everything. about twice as long for an all-day beard, the…

Does the job And it's a Norelco rotary razor!

I have used a Norelco electric shaver for decades. I was driving to a meeting when I realized I hadn't shaved. I went to the nearest CVS to see if they had the cheapest Norelco. I saw another battery powered travel shaver and decided to give it a try. I liked the idea of a razor that runs on easily available AA or AAA batteries. I found this razor awkward to use and time consuming, but it seemed to get the job done. This got me wondering if Norelco makes a battery powered razor that I could…

Pretty good but definitely not enough power for a daily shaver

I ordered 3 of the best travel razors and my aim was to use them as a daily shaver. I like the low cost and try to replace it every 12-18 months. I bought this item, a Remington TF70CDN and a Panasonic ES3831K travel electric shaver. I would rank this as my second favorite and recommend Remington. This is the only one of my three options that lacks the power for a daily razor. It works, but becomes noticeably slower. It's not a close shave, but it's the closest shave of the three. I sometimes…

Great travel shaver

I am very happy with this shaver and would recommend it. easy to clean. Cons: (these are very minor quibbles): When cleaning the razor, the head is removed entirely and is not hinged to the body. I've dropped my head in the trash a few times (design caveat). There are two cutting circles which means it takes longer to shave than my three cutting circle razor at home. It seems to give the same close shave as my home razor but lasts longer. Update: I've had this razor for five months now. I use…
