I bought this set of lights for my still life. This is a great product, it gives me the brightness I need. I can also set it up to control the light from different angles. This is a great set and the price was spot on. Colored lenses are great and it all depends on the effect you want for photography and in my case painting. The packaging was great and it arrived on time. I definitely recommend this product.

Good lights for the price. These lights are sufficient for my purposes. They can be too bright if you want a close-up of a small subject. I would say the best distance is 2-5 feet or about a meter or two. Filters are a nice bonus. One of the legs had a slightly curved tip that prevented the leg extension from engaging, but a minute or so with some sort of needle nose solved that minor issue. I am expanding my spectrum from outdoor landscape photography to indoor tabletop photography. I was looking for very cheap flashlights and I found them. Very easy to set up and use. Excellent value for money and quality. The only thing I stumbled across was that I wish they had some solid white/scatter caps as I had to use men's handkerchiefs to reduce the brightness. Downlight. They depend on the size of the table to be able to place them further and improve the lighting. You can also make a diffuser out of a piece of white sheet metal, but that's not always optimal. Legs also take up quite a bit of space. They require a very large table to use. You cannot mount them on a tripod because they are not compatible with 1/4" or 3/8" mounting screws. Your only option is to mount it on a table. I have a tiny house with poor lighting, so I can only photograph my products in my living room. Living in Cleveland, most days there isn't enough natural light to produce quality images.
