Phusion Passenger Review

I like how it's simple to set up with no configuration needed at all apart from some environment variables (which are easy enough). It has made deploying new code much faster than before - we used Apache/mod_wsgi previously but this is so quick that now our developers don't even need root access anymore! As an added bonus you can use Nginx as well which makes life easier in certain situations too :) The logging system could be improved by adding more options or customising where logs go etc…

It's easy to setup, it handles all the heavy lifting behind the scenes so you don't have to worry about things like memory management or keeping track of dependencies. The fact that it is open source makes it very flexible, which can be both good and bad. Sometimes I'd find myself working with code from other people who were using Passenger, and I would need to figure out how they had configured their app, and then try to do the same thing.
