Works well on my boiler

I installed it on a Weil MacLean P 68 boiler I used some WD 40 but it wasn't necessary as the threads are actually in the boiler body. It came out with little effort. After writing a new one, I installed it and it worked fine.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • not reliable

Perfect replacement

The existing gauge on my boiler read the temperature normally but after 17 years the gauge froze. With an older boiler, you want to be sure that the water pressure is working in the right range. This sensor was exactly the same as the old one.

Pros
  • Test, measure and inspect
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Incorrectly described for pressure and vacuum gauge

The pressure gauge is described as "3.63" shank length" but it turned out to be NOT the appropriate insertion depth that I Expected and specifically chose this probe. The "barrel" happens to be about a 2" matching extension on the back of the sensor plus 1.63" of sensor insertion length, giving you the same insertion depth as the shorter model. The description does not state that the "rod" actually has two separate sections that are functionally entirely different.

Pros
  • Pressure and vacuum gauge
Cons
  • There are new competitors
