Pink bladed scissors are very tight. I have arthritis and this is sooooo not going to work for me. I have to strain to open the scissors to cut. The scallop was better. The cut was good but I felt uncomfortable with it. Please don't buy if you don't have super power in your fingers.

The gear pair is great, works great on fabric. Pair of zigzags. Well it works if the fabric is pulled with some tension otherwise it will chew on your fabric. ALSO: These things are sealed in a box and oh my god they stink to high heaven. I have to set these things out on the porch to let them air out before I even think about using them. You're giving me a headache.

They cut well and don't pull on the fabric. They also make it easy to line up the zigzag between each cut. The only problem I see is that they are quite heavy, which can be both a good and a bad thing. They are strong but can cause arm and wrist pain from the weight. They also appear to be very tight. Difficult to fully open with one hand. I wonder if they need oiling as working with them over and over again hasn't seemed to weaken them.

Just got the sewing scissors and not sure. They're really hard to open and I have to use my thumb on the outside edge of the thumb grip to open them or I can't use them. I live in Arizona and it's summer now so I left them in a cooler spot thinking the heat might make them difficult. Not the case, I even sprinkled a little WD-40 on it and it's still hard to use. If that doesn't work, I return them and pay a little more for a pair at Walmart or a fabric store.

I didn't know what to expect given the price but I was pleasantly surprised - it's a fantastic price. I didn't buy a pair of décolleté scissors because they weren't worth the money, but I can't believe what I got for the money. They were beautifully packaged in a very pretty pink box and came with an extra set of mini pruning scissors. They make a great gift, especially when they're wrapped because they look a lot more expensive than they are. They are a good size and work well. Amazing…
