Works well good for cars and car electronics

Seems like a good device. I bought it to replace an unnamed brand in my RV. I love that I can use Bluetooth with my iPhone and even control it with an app. I only noticed this because I still get FM interference when I turn on the overhead LEDs in my RV. Somehow I was hoping that a pioneer tuner would be able to distinguish a real signal from interference.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Not bad but...

The display and UI are the worst!

Display and interface suck. If you don't want to break down trying to figure out how to play, pause, continue or change the source, especially if you don't have the best eyesight. Ah, pioneer, how about a better interface? The rest of the device is excellent for the money. But the interface is no small thing. This is the worst thing I've ever seen or tried to see. Give me a break!

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Damaged

Great sound and price

The main unit preforms are perfect and the price was good but the user interface on this unit is not what I expected. Maybe they're just trying to do too much, but the learning curve is very high. Can't complain about the sound or the options, but I would NEVER give this unit away to someone who isn't tech savvy. I feel like they could make the UI a lot simpler. I'm also getting random 'jumps', not sure if it's radio, amp or phone related, but I have to 'back' or reset to get the menu I want

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • is embarrassing

Sounds great but is so weak it doesn't even appear to be on.

The sound quality is excellent. I run it in my Jeep through several Pioneer amps with two 12" and six 6.5" 4 bands. I mostly use the Head Unit Control app because it's so much simpler than the terrible UI. The app isn't much better and I always struggle to connect to my iPhone. The biggest complaint about this device is the dim backlight. It's ok at night (yes) but don't even try to see anything during the day. I've had a Pioneer system in every car I've owned since the 80's and have alwaysโ€ฆ

EAS function needs an overhaul

I installed it almost 4 months ago but had to drop my original 5 star rating. Don't get me wrong this is a great main device and I was happy with its options it was a great device. My problem is entirely related to the EAS (Emergency Alert System) feature. To date I have not been able to find a way to turn it off and on several occasions I have been out for up to 24 hours without being able to use any of the radio's functions because it kept giving me warnings. The feature itself is nice, butโ€ฆ

The best radio I've ever had. More to come

I bought this to replace my Pioneer DEH-P7700MP. I am very happy with my new radio. Screen is not very bright. Remember that when setting up a color display, you can easily adjust the color to suit your vision. some are boring and I think some colors are bright, she thinks they're boring and I don't, so it really comes down to personal preference. Versatile and dynamic, I will definitely buy one of these again. and also my package arrived 1 day early

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

The main disadvantages of the radio. Seller Knowhere to be Found

Frustrating, expensive experience. Why? 1) The radio changes stations - by itself! Every now and then you have to fight with the tuner and keep turning it back to the chosen station. 2) The volume knob makes a "cute" chirp. It beeps every time you adjust the volume. Not that it's a bad thing - but this sucker chirps in response to road vibrations! Sit still at the stop sign, don't chirp. Move down the street and this suction cup makes a high-pitched, chirping sound. 3) There is NO sellerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Doubtful

This is a great deck

This is one of those products that I can say doesn't live up to the negative reviews about the lighting or the ability to see it. It has some really nice colors to choose from. from and I have no problem displaying it. Taking this a step further, the lighting is the best stereo product I have ever had. Briefly read the user manual, plugged it in, switched it on. It's mated to the pre-out of a Pioneer 9606D monoblock driving a massive Alpine subwoofer (12 inches but weighs about 40 pounds) in aโ€ฆ
