Strong enough for big salmon.

I used this 9’ 9 wt rod for 3 days of salmon fishing in Alaska. It held up amazingly the entire time! There were no issues reeling in several sockeyes on the Kenai River, which was asking a lot of this rod. I found no problems whatsoever, and was pleasantly surprised that this low-priced rod stood up to the test. I would buy it again, but thankfully I don’t have to.

Pros
  • I have rods that cost twice as much or more that perform no better than this one!
Cons
  • For what its worth its a great rod

Very nice rod fly rod and an excellent value

Barely got into fly fishing but caught over 12 wild trout on my 1st outing with this rod and performed flawlessly and the carrying case protects it when I go trekking into the bush! Pisci-fun delivers once again for bang for your buck! Longevity is yet to be determined but initial quality surpasses expectations!

Pros
  • Hunting & Fishing
Cons
  • May not have enough power for fast retrieves

medium to medium fast action turns bulky bass flies

After a lot of research, I bought this 7 wt, 9 foot rod. The action is faster than my 5 wt but not as fast as I thought it would be. Casts a nice line easily and turns over bulky wooly buggers and leach patterns easily. With a weight forward line and a little line out I can feel the rod loading nicely. For the money it's a good buy. I've never fished a really expensive rod so I can't compare it to one but it handled a pretty decent size catfish without any fuss. Love it so far.

Pros
  • This was far better than I expected. Beautiful craftsmanship!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for delicate presentations

Beuatiful Rod on my review.

Beautiful rod. Why anyone would spend $900 on a fly rod other than for vanity is beyond me. My only gripe is that there is not an 8 wt, most popular salt water rod.

Pros
  • I caught a 25 inch rainbow on it yesterday in Alaska
Cons
  • May not be suitable for switch casting

As an inshore fly guy targeting the IRL in FL for trout, red fish, snook and tarpon I am quite impressed with this rod. It has the power to penetrate the wind and to turn over large streamers like Deceivers and Clousers. I would recommend this rod to anyone that tosses large flies and poppers.

Pros
  • ‎5wt-9'
Cons
  • May not be suitable for fishing in dry conditions

Amazing Rod For the Money

I bought this #4 fly rod for backpacking into the Sierras and was really surprised at the quality of the rod. So much value for the money. Took a moment to learn the feel of the rod. It's not a super soft tip but does have the touch for smaller streams. Caught and released over 30 Golden and Rainbow trout. Only thing I would suggest is to make a lighter weight rod case. I cut mine in two to reduce the weight for my ultra light weight backpacking set up. Fantastic Value.

Pros
  • Unbeatable fly rod for the price.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for accuracy at longer distances

Piscifun 7wt fly rod

I've been using this rod for a little less than a month now and all I can say is WOW. I'm completely blown away by the quality of this rod, especially for the price. The fit and finish are excellent, and the action is better than some rods I've owned that cost four times as much. A fantastic value for the price. 100% recommend.

Pros
  • Nice rod for the money. Probably as good if not better than rods double and even triple the cost.
Cons
  • Heavy and difficult to maneuver

For the price it is a good rod

I wanted an inexpensive 7 wt rod to fish for bass and panfish. I hope to use it this fall for steelhead. I want to give it a try for pike. It was of better quality than I expected. Still need to see how it holds up in a year from now.

Pros
  • ‎Aluminum
Cons
  • May not be suitable for fishing in hot weather

Cost-effective - my new review

I couldn't be more satisfied with this rod. It costs like $30 dollars cheaper than the next average-ish brand but it performs just as well! I fought 10-15 pounds snappers, red drum and groupers with this thing and it performs wondrously!

Pros
  • Great rod for the price
Cons
  • May break easily

Works great! on my review.

Amazing value! My first fly rod. I got a 6wt for fishing in saltwater and rinse it afterwards. It catches fish and you can't beat the price.

Pros
  • ‎Fast
Cons
  • May not be suitable for fishing in heavily fished waters

if you read my post you will find I wont see the rod until the 4th of April as it is in The US and I am in Scotland, I will review the rod when I have seen it that's the best I can do

Pros
  • ‎0.34 Kilograms
Cons
  • May not be suitable for fishing in humid conditions

Lots of fishing bang for your buck.

I've wanted to get my feet wet with saltwater fly fishing, so I picked up a pair of these rods early in 2021 - a 6wt-9' and a 7wt-9' for fishing the beaches, bays & kelp beds around San Diego. I wanted to hold off on my review until I had a chance to use them in various conditions and catch a few fish. Last month I added a third rod to the mix - a 4wt-8'6" for fishing Eastern Sierra trout. Now that I've used them to catch fish from beach, bay, boat, surf & stream, I gotta say I'm pretty…

Pros
  • High Performance - IM7 Graphite for durability, accuracy and performance; Machined aluminum reel seat with double lock rings for sturdy reel attachment; Ceramic stripping guides inserts and chrome guides for smooth gliding fly lines.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for fishing in still waters
