🐶 Pit Bull Anchor Rope Towel Rack - 4 Inch Review

It's SUPER! It's very rusty and looks great in my pirate style bathroom! I painted the bottom half of the ring with clear nail polish because the rust would transfer to the towel, but it looks amazing!

The real anchor appears to be very heavy cast iron. Looks good but the hardware in my cabinets was coming loose even after I drilled the pilot hole. Luckily there was enough screw left to grab and remove. Then it happened with another screw. Be careful with screws when installing.

I bought this to use as a towel rail in my bathroom. It works out. It's a lot easier than I expected. The weight is nowhere near as heavy as other cast iron jewelry I have purchased. The color is also different from other decorations. This is an artificial rust color. More orange than brown. The picture shows the difference.

So a classic example of reading sizes. I like this thing but it doesn't seem to be very strong where the anchor meets the ring. And it's just under 5 inches wide. It's as big as my hand. And since it's so small, it looks fun on the wall. So I wanted to send it back. I bought it for only $10. And the cheapest way to get it back was $6.

I really wanted one! I liked it when it arrived and I installed it everything was great until I noticed all these little chips on the floor with the towel hanging underneath. I took a good look at the towel rail and it's BROKEN! Small rusty shavings. I'm not being rude at all...not sure if it's caused by dampness from the towel or just in a bathroom with general dampness, but it was very frustrating...I wish it worked because it was cool accent for sure.

I love this towel rack. It goes really well with the nautical theme of our bathroom and I love the beautiful brass design. Some things I noticed are that it's quite heavy so you definitely need to use 2 screws to hold it (which isn't supplied) and part of my anchor was rubbing against something so the shiny silver is showing . through the patina. I gave 5 stars for durability because after a lot of effort I finally managed to open the ring wide enough to remove it from the mount so I could drill a hole and remove the ring could use again so that he was in the middle where he has a place. Also, putting it back into the groove after drilling the hole was not easy and required a lot of force. After I put it back in, I had to hit the ring many, many times with a 16oz ball-point hammer to close it and recover. It withstood pretty decent hits

Robust construction. I certainly wouldn't hang on to it, but I've never worried about the ring detaching from the anchor tip with the most extreme pull on the towel. My only complaint is that the stitching is too obvious and detracts from the overall look. It feels like a nice, high-quality product, but once you get close enough to dry your hands, the unobtrusive stitching becomes apparent.
