Why almost $40 for this little headset!?

Why is this little headset so expensive? This is one of the most basic I've ever received. It doesn't even come in a box or case but in a small clear plastic bag as you can see in one of the photos. The earphone does not cover or cushion the ear or anything like that. I have to say that they are comfortable to wear even with glasses as the sound coming out of the earbud is clear. noise reduction? mmm nope! The cable is terrible, the company refuses to replace

I bought this for work because the last Plantronics I had was really comfortable, but I had a problem with the entire cable twisting and knotting until it was one big knot. I was hoping this one would be different as it is more expensive. The USB to adapter part is good, but the thinner cable from the adapter to my headset is all twisted and when you unwrap it it instantly twists back. It's a big knot right next to my ear, so I can't even use the volume/mute button. The company refuses to…

I would definitely recommend the purchase, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

I took it for voice communication, with the ability to hear what is happening around. We also needed a light and comfortable device that would not put pressure on the head. I was specifically looking for one with a USB connection, so that it could be used as an independent sound source. The connection is simple. Just insert it into the connector and the system itself recognizes it, without additional drivers. But I would still recommend installing a program from the manufacturer's website to…

Well THAT is a great headset!

I'm in meetings on the computer almost 6 hours a day. I used a wireless headset that costs more than twice as much. I bought this because I realized that my horrible daily headaches are due to my wireless headset. I bought these because a colleague had one and said they were fantastic. I work remotely a lot and need a good headset for meetings and calls.
